Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has reacted to the inhumane treatment of the national team players at Al Abaq Airport, Al Abaq in Libya ahead of the second leg of the CONQ 2025.

The team’s plane was diverted mid-air to the remote airport, about a three-hour drive to Benghazi, and has been grounded at the airport since last night for more than 10 hours

The Libyans have given no legitimate reason for the team’s ordeal, leaving the players at the airport overnight just hours before the game.

Legit.ng reported that Victor Osimhen encouraged Boniface with a message on Instagram after the Germany-based striker fired blanks for the Super Eagles against Libya.

The former Royal Union Saint-Gilloise striker is yet to score for the national team and in Osimhen’s absence against the North Africans, he has been unable to end his goal drought.
