Milan manager Zlatan Ibrahimovic kept fans guessing after he showed off a nasty gash on his head. ‘Part of the game’.

The now-retired striker shared the puzzling pictures on his Instagram, along with a message that raised even more questions.

Rather unhelpfully, he then added a “trigger warning” after sharing the image.

It is unclear how Zlatan sustained the injury, which left a deep gash on the back of his head and apparently required stitches.

The Swede still enjoys a variety of sports even after retirement, including martial arts and fishing.

He celebrated his 43rd birthday last week.
