Finn Wolfhard can’t believe it strange things is coming to an end.

The 21-year-old actor opens up to PEOPLE in an exclusive chat about the latest season of the hit Netflix series and reveals what he’d like to take with him from strange things ready to reminisce about his time starring in the show.

“It’s a small thing, but I think it would be very significant: the first Dungeons and Dragons Demogorgon piece that hits the table,” says Wolfhard, referencing a scene from strange things‘first season. “I think it would be great to keep.”

The actor, who recently partnered with Ring, adds that he wouldn’t stop there, though. “And then, obviously, bikes. Bikes are awesome,” he says of the mode of transportation his character and others primarily use in the sci-fi/fantasy series.

strange things follows a group of kids in 1980s Indiana who must battle supernatural forces and secret government conspiracies.

Although Netflix has yet to reveal the official plot of season 5, it will likely follow the Hawkins children as they try to defeat the villain Vecna ​​(Jamie Campbell Bower) after the Upside Down invades their town.

Alongside Wolfhard, who plays the character Mike Wheeler, the series also stars Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo and Sadie Sink, in addition to Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Jamie Campbell Bower, Brett Gelman, David Harbor and Winona Ryder.

Netflix revealed in June 2023 that Linda Hamilton will join the cast of strange things for the fifth and final season.

Netflix announced in January that production had officially begun on season 5, and months later in July, the streaming service revealed that filming was halfway through on Instagram.

Now, Wolfhard tells PEOPLE strange thingsThe last season, “We’re almost done shooting.”

“It’s going really well, and it’s been amazing. It’s been very special,” he continues Saturday Nightstar “I mean, being able to be with everybody knowing it’s the last season has been really great, but it’s pretty surreal.”

The fifth and final season of Stranger Things does not yet have a release date. The four seasons of strange things are currently available to stream on Netflix.
