Malinowski, whose nickname comes from his resemblance to the one-legged Forrest Gump character, came into the spotlight after millions of people followed his saga through the videos of TikTok user Terrence Concannon, along with Weather Channel and CNN features, shortly before Hurricane Milton wreaked havoc. It makes landfall Wednesday with winds of 120 miles per hour.

Concannon set up a GoFundMe to raise money for a new boat for Malinowski, though he said during the live stream that he has yet to receive any of the $46,000 donated, prompting the racist allegation.

“Lt Dan went live on Kick and ripped the N word,” one user wrote using a crying emoji.

“Brother didn’t last a day,” lamented another.

The live bombshell is not the first controversy Malinowski has faced in recent days.

He came under fire after his voluminous rap sheet emerged, which included arrests for allegedly groping a police officer and trying to set a woman on fire last year after dousing her in gasoline.

He also has an open criminal case in Tampa over whether he even owns the 22-foot Catalina that capsized during the storm, which killed at least 17 people and left nearly 1.5 million without power as of Saturday afternoon .

“That Lt. Dan in Tampa is a prime example of why everyone you find on social media with a ‘sad story’ doesn’t need a GoFundMe,” one user wrote.

Malinowski has a long rap record, with crimes including allegedly assaulting a police officer and trying to set a woman on fire.

Concannon shared in a TikTok video Friday that he had trouble getting Malinowski the GoFundMe cash because the disgruntled sailor has no identification to access his bank account, but is working to help him get the money.
