Anthony Edwards reveals Steph Curry’s lesson

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry were the leaders of Team USA at the Paris Olympics, but they had an incredible supporting cast.

Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Anthony Edwards was one of the top scorers for the American team in Paris. Edwards turned 23 during the Olympics, making his ability to contribute alongside NBA legends all the more impressive.

Speaking at media day, Edwards revealed what he learned from Curry at the Olympics.

“I think the best part of all of this is the practices,” Edwards said. “We played five-on-five, playing each other, and I think the best thing I learned was from Steph.”

Edwards added: “I picked up the routine before the Bron game, but Steph just plays off the ball. Like, the last few days we’ve been playing five-on-five, I’m just cutting, getting out of the way and getting easy shots. I think I’ve learned more from Steph.”

Because Edwards was so young, he grew up watching many of his fellow Olympians. Now applying some of the knowledge he gained, Edwards should be an even better player this season.

While he may not be asked to move off the ball as much as Curry, Edwards being able to grow that area of his game should help him and the Timberwolves greatly.
