In the wake of Kennedy’s alleged “personal relationship” with journalist Olivia Nuzzi, Hines, 59, praised her husband, 70, for the “beautiful” tribute he posted to his late mother Ethel on Instagram, after his death at the age of 96 on Thursday, October 10.

In his tribute, Kennedy posted a moving black-and-white photo of his mother. as she wrote in her caption: “My mother, Ethel Skakel Kennedy, passed peacefully in heaven this morning.”

Continuing the long and heartfelt tribute, Kennedy described his late mother as a “role model” for her children and grandchildren, who was “blessed” with a “rich and eventful life”. He added that he “never lost his sense of fun, his humor, his spark, his courage and his joie de vivre,” despite his decline in recent months.

Elsewhere in his tribute, Kennedy shared about his mother’s upbringing: “My mother invented tough love, and she could be tough on her children when we didn’t live up to her expectations. . Kennedy also said his mother had “a lifelong attitude of gratitude that fueled her taste for adventure” and that a “sunny optimism” brought his father “back to life” after the assassination of her brother, President John F. Hines’ warm response to her husband’s tribute to her mother-in-law comes after she and Kennedy were recently spotted together for the first time since her alleged “personal relationship” with Nuzzi.
