The iconic Tulsi and Payal of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi – interpreted by Smriti Irani i Jaya Bhattacharya – are sending waves of nostalgia across social media. The duo recently got together on Dussehra, which was on October 12. They posed for a photo together that got reactions from the queen of television herself, producer. Ekta Kapoor.

Smriti Irani, who is now a politician, shared a photo with Jaya in which they are all smiles. Irani captioned her post, “About Dussehra the good, the bad…and the epic drama #kyunkityoharsabkehai @jaya.bhattacharya #puraniyadein #dost.” Smriti and Jaya beamed with happiness as they took a selfie in front of an idol of Lord Vishnu.

Ekta Kapoor, Mandira Bedi react

The post got reactions from the show’s producer Ekta Kapoor as well as KSBKBT actor Mandira Bedi. Mandira jokingly asked, “Where am I?” while Ekta Kapoor commented on ‘Payal and Tulsi’.

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi ran from 3 July 2000 to 6 November 2008. The show was co-produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under their banner Balaji Telefilms. The television soap achieved some of the highest TRP ratings for a considerable period. The show revolves around an ideal daughter-in-law, the daughter of a pandit married to the grandson of business tycoon Govardhan Virani.
