Liam Gallagher Did ‘Disturbing’ Oasis Sketch on ‘SNL’

The leader of Oasis, Liam Gallagher, has responded to a news Saturday night live skit ridiculing his band, calling it a “disturbing” watch.

The last episode, which was broadcast on October 12 Saturday night live announced the long-awaited return of Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks for the first time in over 40 years, who took to the stage to perform an emotional rendition of her powerful new female-friendly single ‘The Lighthouse’ . Nicks later returned to the broadcast to perform her classic song, ‘Edge of Seventeen.’

Hosting duties were handled by Ariana Grande, who hosted the iconic programmer in 2016. Plus, Maya Rudolph reprized her role as Kamala Harris as Saturday Night Live previewed the election parodying presidential elections of November 5 family fight.

During the Weekend Update portion of the show, Colin Jost welcomed ‘Oasis’ to the segment. James Austin Johnson played Noel Gallagher and Sarah Sherman played Liam Gallagher. They both inexplicably had Cockney voices despite being Mancunians, which is the equivalent of giving a Texan a New York accent.

Oasis recently expanded their North American reunion tour, even adding several new dates to the show series due to phenomenal demand.

As they have dominated the conversation recently, the band had matured Saturday night live to parody However, the execution of the sketch left a lot to be desired. It started with Jost lazily wondering if they’d still be together when the American shows roll around in 2025. Of course, “Wonderwall” played a part in the skit, with Noel changing the words to, “If Liam doesn’t act like a baby”, which led to the two brothers tediously calling each other “baby”.

Sherman, who played Liam, went through as many British troops as possible in one sentence, saying: “Wembley Stadium, 1993, yes, we were with Posh Spice, Scary Spice, Stinky Spice – you told everyone that i had a crooked nob, yes you said my nob is bent like beckham.

Shortly after it aired, Liam gave a brutal one-word response to an X fan who asked for his thoughts on the segment, stating: “Excruciating.” This prompted an X user to tell the Oasis frontman: “They made you a dirty man,” to which Liam replied: “I wouldn’t expect anything else from them.”

Also, when another user brought the sketch to Liam’s radar, he asked in response: “They’re meant to be comedians.” After Liam’s reaction to the scheme, it’s safe to assume Oasis won’t be performing a Saturday night live anytime soon

Oasis North American Tour Dates:

Oasis initially announced a series of US tour dates on September 30, following the pandemonium created during the planned run of shows in the UK and Ireland next summer. The band will hit North America in August, taking the stage at stadiums in Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, Los Angeles and Mexico City. Due to demand for tickets, Oasis will now play two nights at each of these venues except Chicago.

In a statement, they said of their US tour: “America. Oasis is coming. You have one last chance to prove you’ve loved us all along.”
