Mike Tindall reveals unknown details about Kate Middleton’s fitness regime

The Princess of Wales is incredibly athletic and has long been committed to a disciplined fitness regime.

Apart from sailing, cycling and yoga, the royal mum-of-three is also believed to follow an exercise routine full of cardio and weight training.

In particular, Kate, 42, seems to have a real penchant for running. Mike Tindall made the revelation during a new interview with The Telegraph

Sharing an insight into the Welsh family’s passion for sport, the ex-rugby player said: “George loves his football. I’ve played with him many times in the garden. He’s also into Aston Villa. Wherever he is.” I’m going to sit back and watch this game.”

He continued: “They’re just a sports-loving family. Catherine loves to run.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Mike spoke candidly about his own family life with wife Zara and their three children Mia, ten, Lena, six, and youngest Lucas, three.

Coming from a sporting family – equestrian Zara won silver at the 2012 Olympics and Mike was part of England’s World Cup winning team in 2003; it is perhaps not surprising that the Tindall clan is seemingly following in the footsteps of their fathers.

Reflecting on son Lucas’ unbridled enthusiasm, he shared: “You can’t stop him. He wants physical contact. He wants them to fight. He fancies himself a ninja, and he just walks around with sticks hitting people.”

Mike added: “He’s such a typical guy, you almost have to knock him down with exercise, like a dog, otherwise he won’t sleep. You’re built like that. So he’s totally masculine, which a lot of rugby players are, it’s not bad at all.”

It has been a busy period for the British royal family. While the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh recently traveled to Malta for a four-day royal tour, earlier this week Kate made her first public engagement since completing chemotherapy treatment.

On Thursday, the royal joined her husband Prince William on a moving visit to Southport, where they met three grieving families, first responders and members of the local community.

They later visited the Southport Community Center where they joined the emergency services involved in the attack to learn about their experiences and meet the health professionals who support Southport’s ‘blue light’ community.

After their visit, the couple posted on social media: “We are with everyone in Southport. Meeting the community today was a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting each other after an unimaginable tragedy. You will continue in the our thoughts. and prayers W & C”.
