Riteish Deshmukh reacts to the tragic death of Baba Siddique

Mumbai, October 13 (IANS): Actor Riteish Deshmukh has expressed his deep sadness on social media after the tragic death of Baba Siddique.

He shared his feelings and said, “Extremely saddened and shocked beyond words to learn of the tragic demise of Shri #BabaSiddique ji – My heart goes out to @zeeshan_iyc and the entire family – May God give them strength to face this difficult time. The perpetrators of this horrific crime must be brought to justice.”

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique was killed at the Colgate ground in Nirmal Nagar, Bandra, Mumbai. He passed in front of his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office where three unknown assailants opened fire on him.

Baba Siddique was known for his friendships with several well-known Bollywood actors including Riteish Deshmukh, Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra and many more. Following the news, actors Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan as well as Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra rushed to Lilavati Hospital for their last appearances.

Talking about Ritesh Deshmukh, he is one of the actors who wears many hats as a producer, writer and director. He made his foray into the Indian film industry in 2003 when he played the lead role in “Tujhe Meri Kasam” and rose to fame as a result of appearing in many comedy films like “Housefull” and “Dhamaal” . This multi-talented actor is also famous for his impeccable sense of comedy and has further featured in films like ‘Lai Bhaari’ and ‘Mauli’.

He made his directorial debut in 2022 with the Marathi film ‘Ved’. He recently made his OTT entry with a medical drama ‘Pill X’. He was also seen in the horror comedy ‘Kakuda’ with Sonakshi Sinha and Saqib Saleem. He is doing other interesting work back to back which includes ‘Masti 4’, ‘Dhamaal 4’ and ‘Housefull 5’.
