Harrison Ford shows off his comedic side on Apple TV+ shrinkagebut that’s not the only reason he signed.

In a recent interview with Vanity FairFord shared his genuine enthusiasm for collaborating with talented people.

“Oh man, I’m out of essential human contact,” Ford said. “I imagine myself with people who have great skills and experience. . . . It’s fun to work with these people.”

In shrinkageco-created by Bill Lawrence, Jason Segel and Brett Goldstein, Ford stars as Dr. Paul Rhoades alongside Segel’s character Jimmy, a grieving therapist who defies conventional wisdom.

Ford, known for iconic roles such as Han Solo and Indiana Jones, confessed to being a “silly person” at heart. He believes that humor is an integral part of every project.

“In a way, yes, because the jokes are really the surprise of everything, in a serious movie or a streaming comedy,” Ford explained.

“Finding the humor in the moment is what gets us through most of the time. I like to invest the characters I play with their personal sense of humor. I think everyone has one, even if they’re not funny “

Ford loves being around people who are having fun, doing shrinkage an ideal fit.

“I don’t like to take myself too seriously,” he added. “I’ve always loved humor. I loved jokes. I loved making up jokes. My father was a joke teller. The words and ideas behind a joke always “have been interested”.

Ford’s passion for drama and comedy dates back to his early acting aspirations.

“When I was thinking about becoming an actor, I was ambitious for both types of work: serious drama and comedy. I found myself doing both and I didn’t really distinguish much between them. I think I think with the same actor about a joke like I do about a serious or emotional scene.”

Second season of shrinkage premieres on Apple TV+ on October 16.
