The video resurfaced amid Diddy’s recent arrest and sex crime charges and is one of several clips featuring the duo that have garnered attention.

Sean “Diddy” Combs has remained in custody at a New York facility since his arrest and recently made a third attempt to secure bail after two previous denials.

Diddy repeatedly touched Justin Bieber’s chest in the clip

An old clip of Diddy and Bieber has sparked debate among fans over whether the rapper was checking to see if the pop star was wearing a wire during their conversation.

The short clip began with Diddy and Bieber sharing a warm handshake while standing next to a black SUV. From that point on, things took a strange turn when Diddy started touching Bieber several times on the chest area as if he was looking for something.

Initially, the embattled rapper was seen lightly tapping the “Ghost” singer multiple times with his knuckles. He then walked over and continued the palm gesture, and at one point, he and Bieber shared a hug.

Throughout the clip, the two can be seen engaging in an almost inaudible conversation, except for one moment when they exchange the words “I appreciate you” and “I love you.”

Social media users react to the resurfaced video

The clip was made in 2021, but has now gone viral following Diddy’s arrest.

One X user reacted to the clip, claiming Diddy’s gestures were a sign of “paranoia” caused by the rapper thinking Bieber was wearing a wire.

Another individual backed up the theory, claiming the rapper was “just trying to play it safe, nothing else,” while a third commented, “He was definitely” checking for a wire.

Someone else mocked the Bad Boy founder, saying his alleged paranoia wasn’t helping him escape federal charges.

They wrote: “Lmao, what will all this paranoia do now (?) you’ve been caught in the act.”

Other users debunked the theory, noting that cables aren’t usually placed in such an easily accessible area.

One wrote: “What’s so stupid about this? No more wires. They’re so small they can fit around your neck or other clothing and are hard to spot.”

A second said: “Diddy wouldn’t have known if Justin Beiber was wearing a wire in this video just by touching his chest – there could be more explanation than what he did here.”

More controversial videos of Diddy and Bieber have resurfaced online following the rapper’s arrest.

In one, a young and smiling Bieber could be seen standing next to Diddy as the latter talked about how the teen sensation was spending 48 hours with him.

“It’s got 48 hours with Diddy, where we hang out and what we’re doing we can’t really reveal,” Diddy said at the time. “But it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream.”

He added: “I’ve been given custody…for the next 48 hours, he’s with me and we’re going to go crazy.”

Another clip showed the battered rapper asking Bieber why they don’t hang out anymore, while a third captured Diddy jokingly warning Bieber not to share any details about what happened during their time together

When is Diddy’s trial?

At a recent hearing for the rapper, it was mentioned that his trial could begin in May if all necessary initial processes were completed on time. That includes the delivery of evidence in the case, which Diddy’s legal team has already filed a motion to expedite.

Meanwhile, the rapper will remain in custody at a New York facility unless his appeal of his earlier bail denial is successful. He was previously denied bail twice, first by Judge Robyn Tarnofsky and later by Judge Andrew L. Carter Jr.

The new bail attempt comes after Carter Jr. reassigned the case to a new judge, Arun Subramanian, on October 3 due to a full docket.

At this point, it remains unclear whether the appeal includes a stronger argument or whether Diddy’s legal team intends to rely on the judge’s discretion to grant the rapper temporary freedom.

Federal prosecutors slammed his lawyer’s “racist” remarks

Before the recent hearing, Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, claimed that the case against the rapper was “the successful takedown of a black man,” suggesting that racism played a role in the prosecutor’s office

Although the comment was made on a public platform, federal prosecutors chose to address it in court.

according to TMZthe assistant US attorney argued that Diddy’s lawyer’s claim was “baseless,” and the rapper’s prosecution was in no way motivated by racism as Agnifilo had claimed.

He also denied that prosecutors had leaked grand jury information to the press after Diddy’s legal team sought a gag order from Presiding Judge Arun Subramanian.

Ultimately, Judge Subramanian decided to gag both Diddy’s and the government’s lawyers, noting that the order would also be binding on other government agents.
