The Manchester City striker scored his 33rd and 34th goals for the national team in a 3-0 win over Slovenia on Thursday night.

That saw him move past the late Jorgen Juve on Norway’s all-time goalscoring charts, on a night when he was also the first team skipper for the first time. Haaland completed the feat in just 36 games.

But the star man’s night of celebrations was not complete as he revealed that he and Johansen are expecting a baby.

Haaland was snapped after the game with the ball under his shirt and his thumb in his mouth to show that he is soon to be a father. She posted the image on Instagram and it had baby and “coming soon” emojis on it.

Johansen has been seen more regularly in the public eye during Haaland’s time at Man City

He is believed to have met Haaland at Bryne’s youth academy, with whom they both played.

Haaland joined the club at the age of five and spent more than 10 years with the Norwegian side before later moving on to RB Salzburg, Dortmund and Man City.

He has been more regularly in the public eye during Haaland’s time at Man City, celebrating with him during their trophy successes last season.

On breaking Juve’s 87-year-old record, Haaland said: “Of course it’s big and historic. I’m happy, and it’s a fantastic record to achieve… I have many years left. I’m enjoying it.’

He added: “It was a well-executed game. I’m proud. It’s a record that’s been around for a long time… I felt good. It’s been a long time since I’ve had this much energy on the field.”
