Dismembered body found at home; Cooked body parts found in kitchen, police say

MT. OLIVET, Ky. (WXIX/Gray News) – Authorities in Kentucky say they are investigating after a worker discovered a woman’s body parts behind a home earlier this week.

Kentucky State Police said they were called to the home by a man who said he was doing work on the property Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, the worker went looking for the owner that day after there was no answer at the door.

The man told police he noticed drag marks in the grass that led him to find a dismembered body behind the house.

The arms, legs and head were removed from the woman’s body, authorities said.

After an investigation, Kentucky State Police announced Thursday that Torilena May Fields, 32, was arrested in connection with the crime.

According to police, Fields found herself covered in blood when she was removed from the home after refusing to leave.

Police said the worker also told them he saw the victim and Fields the day before while checking the property for work that was needed.

According to the citation, officers said they found multiple body parts and organs inside a folded mattress when they were searching the property.

They also found what appeared to be human body parts cooked in a hot pot in the kitchen oven.

State police also shared that the worker told them that Fields appeared to be casting spells and was being confrontational during their visit on Tuesday.

Fields is currently being held at the Bourbon County Detention Center and faces multiple charges including obstructing government operations, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.

He is scheduled to appear in court on October 14.

The identity of the dead woman was not immediately released.
