Sean “Diddy” Combs he seemed to be checking Justin Bieber to see if he was wearing a cable in a resurgent video.

The music mogul, 54, grabbed Bieber, 30, for a hug before touching random spots on his chest in the throwback video posted by Daily Mail on Thursday, October 10. Diddy then went all-out on Bieber, and many people believe he was checking to see if the “Love Yourself” singer was recording the conversation for authorities.

“A resurfaced video of Diddy and Justin Bieber hugging has sparked speculation that Diddy was checking to see if the pop star was wearing a wire,” the channel wrote alongside the clip posted on Instagram. “Justin is said to be ‘disgusted’ by the allegations against Diddy, who was a mentor to him early in his music career.”

Bieber has been a hot topic of conversation amid Diddy’s arrest, as the “Baby” artist has been seen in numerous past videos with the rapper.

“Well, look at this, I. Justin: Have you ever seen the movie? 48 hours? Right now, it’s 48 hours with Diddy where we hang out and what we’re doing we can’t really reveal,” Diddy said in a 2009 video posted on Bieber’s YouTube account. “But it’s definitely the dream of a 15-year-old. I don’t have legal custody of (Justin), but for the next 48 hours he’s with me and we’re going to be crazy.”

In 2011, Bieber and Diddy made an appearance at Jimmy Kimmel Live!and the “It’s All About the Benjamins” artist said he and Bieber had “become friends in a weird way.”

“I’m older and you’re Rob,” Bieber said, referencing their friendship Rob Dyrdek and Christopher “Big Black” Boykin.

Diddy continued, “To a lot of us, he’s like a little brother. … He’s not afraid to call and ask for advice. He’s somebody who, in the industry … the record industry is a tight family. And he’s somebody who definitely we have our arms around him and want to protect him because he’s such a genuinely nice person in addition to his talent. … He’s one of the greatest kids you could ever meet.”

Diddy was arrested on sex-trafficking and extortion charges on September 16 and was denied bail, meaning he will likely remain behind bars until his trial, which has yet to be scheduled. According to court documents obtained by in contactthe grand jury alleged that Diddy had abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to “fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct.”

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges and has maintained his innocence.

“We are disappointed in the decision to pursue what we believe to be an unfair prosecution of Mr. Combs by the US Attorney’s office,” Diddy’s attorney said. Mark Agnifilo he said in a statement after his arrest. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man and proven philanthropist who has spent the past 30 years building an empire, doting on his children and working to uplift the community black”.

Agnifilo continued: “Mr. Combs is a fighter. He will fight this to the end. “He came to New York to prove his innocence. … He is not afraid of charges. There is nothing the government said in its presentation today that can sway anyone’s opinion on anything. He has looked forward to this day; he has been looking to clear his name, and he will. We will be by his side as he is.”
