East Tennessee native and music superstar Morgan Wallen’s day of support in his hometown after Hurricane Helene has paid off impressively.

Through a “HELP” campaign partnership between his foundation and Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee, an Oct. 9 food drive in East Tennessee filled six trucks with nearly 150,000 pounds of donated food to the residents affected by Helene.

The Morgan Wallen Foundation and Michael Torano, Senior Director of Engagement and Marketing for Second Harvest of East Tennessee, confirmed the totals.

Wallen himself joined comedian Theo Von in Knoxville for the food drive as well as tour areas recovering from last week’s tragic hurricane.

Additionally, at Tennessee’s Second Harvest locations in Nashville and Smyrna, members of The Neal Agency, Wallen’s booking agency, and Sticks Management, her management company, joined volunteers to pack 1,092 kits of disaster relief filled with food for six meals and a can opener. This total equates to 6,552 meals and 16,380 pounds of food deployed from Middle Tennessee to areas affected by Helene.

Additionally, MWF’s virtual food drive has already resulted in over 100,000 meals being contributed, and fans can still donate at https://bit.ly/HELPAfterHelene

The limited edition “HELP” T-shirts, inspired by Wallen’s Billboard Hot 100 hit with Post Malone “I Had Some Help,” are still available at Shop.MorganWallen.com. 100% of artist proceeds will go to the Morgan Wallen Foundation to support Second Harvest of East Tennessee and MANNA FoodBank of Western North Carolina.

So far, Wallen’s charitable giving to East Tennessee residents has affected Helene

After being made aware of how deeply devastated his hometown was last week, Wallen shared an Instagram story saying, “My family in East Tennessee is safe, but I know many are absolutely devastated over there and in various states. All my prayers are directed to these tonight.”

Wallen initially helped by donating $500,000 on Sept. 30 to the American Red Cross to Aid East Tennessee from the Morgan Wallen Foundation.

“We can’t thank Morgan Wallen enough for his heart and generous donation of $500,000 to now impact relief on the ground in areas affected by Hurricane Helene, including his beloved East Tennessee,” Trevor Riggin, President national humanitarian services of the Red Cross. he said in a statement shared with the USA Today Network’s Knox News.
