Mancherial: Aspirants allege that Hindi Teacher Posts filled by ineligible candidates
DSC filled only six LP and six SA posts in Mancherial district.

Mancherial: Aspirants for Hindi teacher jobs have alleged that the posts of Language Pandit (LP) and School Assistant (SA) belonging to Hindi language were filled with ineligible candidates in the recent Selection Committee of District (DSC).

The contention of the aspirants was that candidates who did not pursue a degree course with Hindi as one of the optional subjects from a university recognized by the UGC University Grants Commission (UGC), were selected as jobs of Language Pandit and School Assistant in DSC- 2024, in violation of note number 9991 issued by the Education department in November 2023. The note was issued pursuant to a government order number 25 dated October 10, 2017. As per government order, the candidate must have graduation with Hindi as an optional subject from a UGC recognized university or 4 years BA B Ed/BSc B Ed with Hindi as a methodology from any institution recognized by NCTE.

Candidates who studied Hindi Vidwan/Madhyama/Visharad from Hindi Prachar Sabha, Hyderabad or Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Allahabad or Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras, Hindi Pandit Training and MA Hindi from Dr Ambedkar Open University and some other universities were recruited as LPs and SAs in Hindi (Hindi).

DSC filled only six LP and six SA posts in Mancherial district.

According to Note No. 9991, an expert committee opined that Hindi Vidwan/Madyama/Visharad of Hindi Prachar Sabha, Hyderabad or Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Allahabad or Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras is not equivalent to graduation offered by any recognized university by the UGC. .

“As a result, those who studied BA Hindi, a three-year course and MA Hindi met with great injustice. The selection committee members are totally unaware of the mark number 9991 and GO 25. They recruited LP and SA without following the guidelines of the mark and GO, causing injustice to the genuine aspirants,” lamented an aspirant from Mancherial.

The aspirants accused the DSC members from different districts of Telangana of indulging in large-scale corruption to fill the posts of LP and SA (Hindi) and violated the rules. They claimed that they would soon approach the court against the selection of LPs and SAs and expose the wrongdoings of the officials.
