US concerned about increasing settler violence in West Bank,

The United States is “deeply concerned” by reports of increased violence by extremist Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank, State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said Monday, after Jewish settlers torched cars on the outskirts of Ramallah.

Miller said the U.S. has made these concerns clear to the Israeli government and that it is the authorities’ duty to do everything possible to arrest and prosecute all perpetrators.
