Police officer shot, another injured in South Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES – One police officer was shot and a second officer was injured after responding to a report of a suspected robbery South Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call for a suspected robbery near the intersection of East 92nd Street and South Central Avenue on Friday, November 1.

The LAPD officer who was shot was hit in the leg, and officials did not say how the second officer was injured.

The LAPD said the suspect in the South LA scene is on the run. As of 10 p.m., no description of the suspect had been released.
