Carville slams ‘f—ing’ pundits for focusing on polls, politics rather than Trump’s rhetoric

Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville criticized the media’s “truth caucus” that “must be fair” instead of condemning former President Trump’s political rhetoric.

Trump’s comments this week attacking Republican Liz Cheney for being a “radical war hawk” have sparked controversy, with numerous critics framing it as a call to violenceand others indicating the full context as a disclaimer.

Carville, who recently stated he was not interested in being “correct” this election, said: “The most delusional and sleazy people in this are what I call the ‘truth tellers’ group. The people out there who are so burdened with the obligation to tell you the truth. And you see these napkins everywhere. You see them in commentaries, you see them in newsrooms, you see them in columns, you see them on cable TV and you see them in the news.”

He juxtaposed pollsters with Trump allegedly calling for the arrest of his political opponents and chided the media for acting “as if they were two equal things.”

CARVILLE Warns Journalists Will Be JAILED IF TRUMP WINS ELECTION: ‘IT’S GOT EVERYONE’

Carville went on to paraphrase the false narrative about Trump wants to put a firing squad on Cheney.

“You also have the professional centrists, the people who just have to take a centrist approach” and try to converge in the middle. “Let’s say Trump wants a 9-person firing squad to execute Liz Cheney,” Carville said, before mocking the centrist pundits, suggesting he would ask: “The middle position is a firing squad 4 person or a 5 person firing squad? “

“These people are so stupid,” Carville said, adding that they are “victims of idiotic tunnel vision of who they are and their own exaggerated sense of righteousness. It’s hard to invent everything.”

Carville said that if the country is “done”, it will be the fault of these “professional ‘truth tellers’, you know, the kind of people who have to be fair”.

LIBERAL MEDIA MELTED OVER TRUMP’S ‘FIRST DAY’ WORKING AT MCDONALD’S

Carville then concluded by arguing that there is no moral equivalence between the two major political parties going head-to-head in this election and asked the media to report it that way.

“I hope the people who are supposed to be telling us what’s going on in this country develop the guts, the background, the historical knowledge, the historical sense to know that not everything is goddamn equal in this country and everybody’s opinion. it’s not goddamn equal!” Carville said. “Some people have better, more informed, more just, more humane opinions than others, and why the hell don’t you go out and— report it?!”
