The 19th annual Stars and Stripes gala honors local veterans

Rochester, NY – An annual event that honors our heroes who took the oath to defend our freedoms.

The Veterans Information Center hosted the 19th annual Stars and Stripes Gala Friday at the Riverside Convention Center, remembering and celebrating the brave souls who put their lives on the line for their country.

Veterans were asked to wear their service uniform or medals to the event, stand out and receive the thanks they deserve.

LAST YEAR’S EVENT: The Veterans Outreach Center celebrates 50 years of service at the annual Stars and Stripes Gala

“Remember that there are men and women out there, far from their families, doing the things we need to do as a nation so we can all sleep in peace,” said Veterans Affairs Center Executive Director Laura Heltz.
