KYTC plans to block KY 136 in Henderson Co. for the bridge replacement project

HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) – The Kentucky Department of Transportation says they plan to close KY 136 in Henderson for about a week.

Officials say the blockage will be between mile markers 9 and 10 on KY 136.

This is so crews can begin replacing the bridge.

According to a statement, work is expected to begin on Monday, November 4.

KY 136 will be closed to through traffic from Burbank Road at the 11.1 mile point and Klondike Road (Gray-Aldridge Road) at the 8.9 mile point Monday through Wednesday, November 13 at 3:30 p.m.

Officials say drivers can detour around the blockage using KY 268.
