3 separate shootings in Wilmington over 2 days shock community – NBC10 Philadelphia

It’s been a violent week in the city of Wilmington after eight people were shot, one of them fatally, at several different locations between Wednesday, October 30th and Thursday, October 31st.

So far no one has been arrested in any of these cases and there does not appear to be any known reason for the sudden increase in violence.

Ernest Lada is a carrier who delivers mail to families living in this neighborhood. He told NBC10 they are generally good, hard-working people who don’t deserve to live among troublemakers.

“Now that the police are actually patrolling here, this yard is clear. It’s usually full of individuals,” Lada said.

The neighbors did not want to talk to our crews about what happened on Thursday.

It was a mid-day shooting that left Black dead and three others wounded.

Not long after that shooting, two other men were shot just five minutes away at 29th and Washington streets. He is expected to be fine, according to officials.
