NEW YORK CITY (WABC) — New York City Mayor Eric Adams will go on trial on April 21, 2025 on federal corruption charges, Judge Dale Ho said Friday.

The date angered the defense, which argued for a schedule that could end the process as early as April at the latest to accommodate “serious, serious concerns of Democrats,” namely the mayor’s re-election campaign.

The development comes as Adams returned to court on Friday, sitting stoically as his lawyers fought to remove a key charge from the federal corruption indictment that threatens his political future.
