The woman allegedly bit a Shreveport officer during the investigation

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Shreveport Police responded to a vehicle burglary on Friday, November 1st.

The incident occurred at 5727 Financial Plaza.

Officials say during the investigation, 36-year-old Tynishia Lewis became aggressive and bit an officer on the forearm with enough force to tear the skin. The officer was treated at an area hospital and is expected to recover.

Lewis was arrested and charged with assault on an officer, second-degree assault, drug possession and two counts of resisting with force or violence.
