Two arrested after shoplifting over K in merchandise from multiple stores

LEBANON, Tenn. (WSMV) – Two women were arrested for shoplifting at multiple stores on Tuesday, according to the Lebanon Police Department.

Police said they responded to the Ross on West Main for reports of shoplifters. Officers were able to locate the two women who matched the given descriptions and were found to be hiding clothing.

LPD said the women also had a tool for removing security tags.

Further investigation showed that the women had also shoplifted at stores in the Hermitage and Mt. Juliet areas.

The combined total of stolen merchandise was over $1,000, LPD said.

Police said the women, who are not from the area, were arrested and charges are pending.
