MSU adds fourth spring graduation ceremony to Starkville

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State will host an additional spring commencement ceremony in May to accommodate the growing number of graduates on the Starkville campus.

Spring Commencement ceremonies are traditionally performed with one event on Thursday and two events on Friday. In 2025, MSU will host morning and afternoon ceremonies on both Thursday and Friday (May 15 and 16) at Humphrey Coliseum. Specifically, graduates of the College of Arts and Sciences will take part in the 9:30 a.m. ceremony on May 15, while that day’s 3:30 p.m. event will recognize graduates and graduates of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences , College of Education and ACCESS.

Graduates from the College of Architecture, Art and Design and the College of Business will take the stage at 9:30 a.m. on May 16, and those receiving degrees from Academic Affairs and the colleges of Engineering, Forest Resources, Professional and Continuing Studies, and Medicine Veterinary will be recognized at 15:30

Other commencement events include the May 13 vesting ceremonies for the College of Veterinary Medicine Ph.D. students and other PhD students from across the university. recipients at 11:30 a.m. in Humphrey Coliseum and 4 p.m. in Lee Hall’s Bettersworth Auditorium, respectively, and MSU-Meridian’s graduation ceremony on May 14 at 11 a.m. in the MSU Riley Center.
