Recently, it was learned that the South Africans launched a petition to stop Chidimma from being allowed to attend the global event.

According to the petition, they were very concerned that Chidimma’s mother, Anabela Rungo, had been found guilty of murder prior to her daughter’s participation in Miss Universe Nigeria competition.

An activist, Kwena Molekwa, was said to have risked her life to uncover some of the alleged crimes linked to Chidimma and her family, including identity theft, drug dealing and more.

The letter also explained that proof of the allegations that Chidimma’s mother stole the identity of a South African child had been distributed on X and that the Nigerian embassy had granted 22 year old model a diplomatic passport so she can attend the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant.

The South African Progressive Forces asked the Miss Universe organizers to cancel Chidimma’s entry in order not to lose their good image.
