4 teens charged in ambush robbery that left Tri-Cities man beaten and stabbed

Four teenagers are accused of stabbing and severely beating a man during an ambush robbery for marijuana cartridges near a Pasco high school in early October.

The victim suffered a serious head injury, stab wounds, a broken arm and other injuries, according to court documents.

Issaiah G. Parada, Santiago McMaster, Alenjandro Gonzalez and Miguel Vasquez, all 18, allegedly lured the man to an address on Henry Street on October 7.

Parada, Gonzalez and Vasquez are charged with first-degree robbery in Franklin County Superior Court. McMaster faces the same charge in Benton-Franklin Juvenile Court since he was 17 at the time.

Parade is charged with an additional count of second-degree assault.

Three of them, Parada, McMaster and Gonzalez are in jail with bail set at $50,000 each.

A $50,000 nationwide warrant has been issued for Vasquez’s arrest.

The Oct. 7 incident began with an exchange of SnapChat messages between Parada and the victim about smoking marijuana, court documents said.

The two were classmates at Columbia Basin College High School. The program allows older students to earn their high school diplomas.

The parade said to meet outside a home across from Pasco High School, according to court documents.

The victim and another man parked near the back parking lot of the high school, bringing 11 with him THC cartridges for vape pens.

He saw Parada approach and was then attacked by about six people, according to court documents. The other man was pulled from the car and held at gunpoint during the fight. It’s unclear if police are looking for more suspects in the case.

The injured man was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

Police tracked Parada to his girlfriend’s house in the 1900 block of North Seventh Avenue on October 17. He eventually turned himself in to the Tri-Cities Regional SWAT Team.

He later told investigators he intended to buy the cartridges, but then an argument ensued and he thought he was being robbed, court documents said.
