Kan. man, driving 75 mph in a 60, caught with large amounts of cocaine

GRANT COUNTY, Nebraska — Law enforcement is investigating a Kansas man on drug charges after a traffic stop.

Just after 5:30 p.m., Oct. 24, while driving north of Hyannis on Highway 61, a Grant County deputy stopped a Kansas registered vehicle traveling southbound doing 75 mph in a 60 mph zone, according to a press release.

An investigation revealed that a 38-year-old Wichita man was in possession of large amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, cash and paraphernalia.

With the assistance of the Nebraska State Patrol and the Box Butte County Sheriff’s Office, the man was arrested on multiple drug charges and transported to the Box Butte County Jail without incident.
