Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s Engagement Countdown is on: Sources

The next few months will be life-changing for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

Swift is facing several weeks of separation from her Kansas City Chiefs lover before her Billion Dollar Eras Tour wraps up in Vancouver, British Columbia on December 8th.

And now there is a countdown to one engagement for the star couplesources say, as the pals reveal how the past year together, with Kelce, 35, the singer’s “protector” behind the scenes, has made them stronger than ever.

“Something that people don’t really understand — and that’s by design — is how much guts Taylor has,” a source close to Swift’s circle told Page Six this week.

In August, a foiled terror plot led to Swift canceling three sold-out shows in Vienna, Austria, leaving her and tens of thousands of fans distraught. More recently, she faced online abuse for speaking out publicly she will vote for Kamala Harris.

There was also furor in Britain, sparked by a clash between politicians over whether Swift should be given a special escort to her concert at London’s Wembley Stadium by the city’s Metropolitan Police.

The Times of London reported that Met HQ even sought legal advice from Britain’s Attorney General on the matter before Swift was eventually granted the escort.

Amid such turmoil, the source said the 31-year-old’s boyfriend, whom she has been dating since last summer, gives her “a tremendous sense of peace.”

“Just his physical presence. She feels safer with him than anyone she has ever known; she knows he would do anything for her and physically she feels protected by him and she likes that feeling. It’s a relatively new one for her, relationship-wise,” the source added.

“Travis is her protector in every sense of the word. He’ll make sure she’s physically and emotionally safe – he won’t do anything careless or reckless with her.”

Another industry source said: “Everyone is fascinated by Travis and Taylor. I am obsessed with a possible wedding. They are invincible together.”

Just don’t expect to see the star at any of Kelce’s road games this season — we’re told she doesn’t feel safe in venues other than Arrowhead Stadium unless it’s been coordinated and inspected by her own staff.

“She’s not going anywhere unless she knows the location thoroughly and has been thoroughly researched and insured beforehand,” said Swift’s source, who pointed out that the singer’s recent trips to Yankee Stadium to see baseball and US Open tennis tournament with Kelce were done with the help of staff who were “excellent” in cooperating with all security requirements beforehand.

Swift has spoken of her “devastation” after being forced to cancel her concerts in Vienna this summer.

Austrian officials said the main suspect, a 19-year-old Austrian man, was inspired by the Islamic State terrorist group.

Investigators found chemicals and technical devices during a raid on the suspect’s home and it was reported that he was planning to strike outside the Ernst Happel Stadium, where more than 30,000 fans were expected to gather. Another 65,000 fans were likely to be inside the venue.

Swift admitted, “The reason for the cancellations filled me with a new sense of dread and an enormous amount of guilt because so many people had planned to come to those shows.”

However, thanks to security services, “we meet concerts and not lives,” she said, noting that she waited to speak until the European leg of her Eras tour was over to prioritize safety.

In her usual fashion, Swift announced last month that she would be voting for Kamala Harris — shortly after Donald Trump used the star’s likeness on social media for his own campaign.

In her endorsement, Swift said, “It’s brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my real plans for this election as a voter.”

She’s voting for Harris “because she fights for rights and because I think she needs a warrior to stand up for them… I was so encouraged and impressed by her selection of fellow contestants @timwalz, who has championed LGBTQ+ rights, IVF and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”

She made her mark by calling herself “Taylor Swift, the childless cat lady” in a pointed dig at Trump’s partner JD Vance.

Trump fired back by declaring “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” on his social media platform, Truth Social. And in an interview with “Fox & Friends.” “I wasn’t a Taylor Swift fan,” he said, “but she’s a very liberal person. She always seems to support a Democrat. And he will probably pay a price for that in the market.”

Despite this, Trump’s daughter Ivanka happily adopted her granddaughter Arabella Swift’s concert in Miami last weekend. A friend told Page 6: “Ivanka’s daughter is absolutely Swiftie”

She also sent the owner of Barstool Sports Dave Portnoya prominent Trump supporter, a note when he attended her concert in Miami, thanking her “for always being so supportive, so loyal, and for standing up for me when a lot of people didn’t.”

Even before Harris’ endorsement, “the vitriol was out of control,” the source said, adding: “Look at the way some football fans acted when all she did was sit in a suite watching a match, with no control over how often the cameras are at her.”

Despite that, another Swift insider told us that she’ll make sure to see Kelce as much as she ever has and pointed out that she toured even more last year and saw Kelce often during football season.

The question now is, once Swift wraps up her record-breaking tour, which runs through March 2023 in Glendale, Arizona, what happens next? She has already become the first artist to have a billion dollar tour.

And as always, the rumor mill is focused on what new music is next for Swift, while Kelce has her eyes on Hollywood.
