Elderly woman assaulted during Phoenix home invasion

KZN VIP spokesperson Gareth Naidoo says they were called to the Westham home on Friday night.

Naidoo says they were taken to a woman who was injured and severely traumatized.

“The 83-year-old woman was assessed at the scene by VIP KZN medics for her injuries after she was beaten by the suspects as they demanded valuables. The elderly woman was going about her daily business when she heard noises from the lounge area and was confronted by two men. suspects,” says Naidoo.

“The woman was then tied up by the suspects and dragged into a room where she was locked while they ransacked the home. The suspects managed to evade arrest with an undisclosed amount of valuables.”
