SF man files lawsuit claiming French bulldog died on Alaska Airlines flight after being moved – NBC Bay Area

A San Francisco man is speaking out since he filed a lawsuit alleging Alaska Airlines made him change seats at the last minute, which could have resulted in the death of his French bulldog.

Michael Contillo said he bought a first-class ticket to give his dog, Ash, more space and keep him out of crowded areas on the Feb. 1 flight. However, he was required to move to trainer seats, which caused Ash to become anxious and led to health problems that eventually led to the dog’s death, according to the suit.

The lawsuit, filed Oct. 16 in San Francisco County Superior Court against Alaska Airlines, alleges breach of contract, negligence, negligent employment and supervision, and negligent infliction of emotional distress. He is seeking punitive damages to be determined at trial.
