Harris’ Talking Points on GOP Defy Logic — and Trump’s Record

Harris’ Talking Points on GOP Defy Logic — and Trump’s Record

As VP Harris slips in the polls, the talking points of the Democratic National Committee/Harris campaign/media merger become even more absurd.

Arguing that Sen. Vance and President Trump are “weird” didn’t work — especially given the truly weird behavior of vice-presidential nominee Governor Walz and future first lord Doug Emhoff.

Nor was the following Harris meme convincing that the frenetic, non-stop Trump was somehow “exhausted,” “senile,” and “confused.” Voters know that young Ms. Harris’ work days are usually much shorter – or sometimes no work days at all.

However, Ms. Harris also falsely claimed that the physically and mentally challenged President Biden was, in her words, “absolutely authoritative” and “very bold and vibrant.”

Now Ms. Harris says Trump is a “fascist,” a “dictator” and “unfit” for office. But this new talking point also won’t stop the Harris campaign from hemorrhaging — and for several reasons.

First, voters see the election as a conflict between two absolutely antithetical visions.

On the one hand, there’s Trump’s previous concrete record 2017-2020: border security, no major wars abroad, calm in the Middle East, a deterred Russia, Iran and Communist China, low inflation, low interest rates, lower crime , taxes, the powerful military of deterrence — and opposition to mandatory mandates for electric vehicles, biological males competing in women’s sports, and the awakening/diversity, equity and inclusion agenda.

On the other is the Biden-Harris 2021-2024 record: the uncontrolled entry of 12-20 million illegal aliens and a broken border. People are still struggling under the previous Biden-Harris hyperinflation and high interest rates. The horrific regional wars in Ukraine and the Middle East continue. Biden-Harris embraces unpopular DEI/Woke agenda.

Ms. Harris herself knows that the Biden-Harris years were a failure. This is why she has renounced almost all of their hard-left agendas—policies she has embraced for much of her adult life.

So suddenly, in the last 90 days, Ms. Harris has turned completely upside down.

Now she is for more, not defunding, of the police. She’s headed for a secure border, not 20 million illegal aliens crossing over. Ms. Harris brags about fossil fuel energy, not banning fracking, and raising, not cutting, defense.

In fact, several endangered sitting Democratic senators from swing states claim more loyalty to Trump’s issues than identification with Ms. Harris and her unpopular record as vice president.

Voters likely conclude that if Trump is doubling down on his record, while even Ms. Harris and many senators are temporarily closing in on him, then he must be more effective and more popular than Ms. Harris.

Second, Ms. Harris now claims that Trump is a fascist and an insurrectionist.

However, saying “January 6th” ad nauseam no longer convinces voters that Trump is a danger to anyone. They recall that Ms. Harris boasted of the much more violent demonstrations in 2020 – 35 killed, $2 billion in damage, 1,500 law enforcement officers injured, 14,000 arrested – that the unrest would not stop and “shouldn’t ” to cease, as they claimed the violent protestors were saved.

The insult that Trump is a fascist doesn’t resonate either. The Obama and Biden-Harris administrations armed the CIA and FBI to interfere in the 2016 and 2020 elections, selling the fake Steele dossier and suppressing all embarrassing news about Hunter Biden’s incriminating laptop.

Trump certainly did not coordinate, as Mr. Biden did, with local, state, and federal prosecutors to bring criminal prosecutions to destroy his political opponents. He didn’t use the FBI to work with social media to suppress the news.

Neither Trump nor his supporters have sought to remove Mr. Biden from state ballots.

The Republican House majority has not impeached Mr. Biden twice, despite the Biden family’s corruption and Mr. Biden’s decades-long illegal removal of classified documents from several unsecured private residences.

Trump and the Republicans have never coercively removed the candidate of the party that won the primary. They did not override the will of 14 million primary voters. And backhandedly, they didn’t anoint a candidate who had never entered a single primary in her life.

Trump hasn’t supported packing the Supreme Court either. He is not seeking unconstitutional means to destroy the Electoral College. He is not calling for an end to the Senate filibuster or the creation of two new states to gain four partisan senate seats.

Third, as for Trump being “inappropriate” and lacking in “decency”, what did the Biden-Harris standards depend on?

Have a trans activist show her breasts on camera at a White House “pride party”?

Mr. Biden reportedly called Prime Minister Netanyahu “an idiot” and “son of ab—ch?” Are you bragging about locking Trump up while fighting against him?

Unleash Hunter Biden’s son with impunity to shake up foreign governments?

Elections will not be decided on these empty talking points or false narratives generated by the media.

Instead, only two criteria matter: whose candidate’s past record and current agenda best appeals to voters? And which candidate seems the most genuine and genuine?
