Rob Van Dam reacts to Motor City Machine Guns joining WWE

The Machine Guns of Motor City will appear on next week’s episode of WWE SmackDown. The announcement was made in a cartoon that aired last night.

During a recent edition of his “1 Of A Kind” podcast, Rob Van Dam reacted to the Motor City Machine Guns signing with WWE.

You can check out some of the highlights from the podcast below:

On Motor City Machine Guns signing with WWE: “Yeah, man, I like those guys. And when I think about it, they were way ahead of their time. Because they were more like a lot of the teams now, as far as thinking outside the box, the advancement of one or two moves that are already there, the team maneuver. As I remember seeing them on Impact Wrestling, and it is, and for me, as watching them do this was one of the first tastes that I have what was to be of the fighting style.

“You know, Michigan guys, but I’ve always gotten along with both of them. I think they’re great kids, as we say in the business, and I respect their hustle. Because I know, they’ve been out there, working hard , working hard, I know, hoping to get their desserts. A little early for their flowers, but at least their chance, let me put it this way. I know they’ve been working hard and doing all the right things to hope to have a decent chance at big stardom. And so I’m glad to see that come true.”

In WWE changing the distribution of matches: “When I was on SmackDown, I totally felt like that match was what they were about the most, simplifying what they were doing out there so the actions had meaningful context to move the story forward. And the fans knew where they were their spots to cheer and they were happy to do it. And it was so smooth and positive and I got that just from watching that tag match with Randy Orton.”
