Winning the lottery leads to a big payday for a NJ couple

After someone won big where a New Jersey couple normally plays the lottery, they moved to a new location due to a superstition…and it paid off.

“I was sitting at the breakfast table and I started checking the numbers. The first one, that’s it. The next one and the next one…” said the NJ Lottery winner.

The winning numbers for Saturday 21 September were: 06, 07, 18, 32 and 42. The other winning ticket was sold through third party app Jackpocket. Both retailers received a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning tickets.

As for their share of $874,024, the couple plans to make some home repairs and take a dream vacation.

“That comforts us,” said the spouse. “A little cushion and a little security.”

The lottery winner told the lottery that it still doesn’t feel real and asked his wife to “pinch me”.
