Was Diddy trying to make a shady move on Justin Bieber years ago? The internet sure does

An interaction between Sean “Diddy” Combs and singer Justin Bieber from years ago is being called into question amid the former’s latest legal woes.

In a resurfaced clip from 2021, the two can be seen talking quietly before parting ways. While not much can be made of their conversation, Diddy begins by saying “I appreciate you” before continuing to talk to the singer. But it’s what he’s doing with his hands that has the internet giving him the side eye.

As the two chat, Diddy is shown repeatedly touching Justin’s chest at different points, as if checking to see if he’s wearing a wire.

While we don’t know if this is exactly the case or if the Bad Boy mogul is extremely expressive while speaking, the folks over at X/Twitter had theories of their own.

“I love how he’s hitting her on a cable, front and back. If he hasn’t done anything wrong to her in the past, why is she scared? It really makes you wonder, doesn’t it?” wrote a user.

“Poor Justin Bieber has probably had it with Diddy and the rest of the Hollywood thrills :/,” said another.

“No one wears wires anymore bro. But I think he was doing some kind of show of power to a vulnerable bieber who could possibly be terribly traumatized by what he’s seen or dealt with Diddy at a young age (sic)” , one user said.

Although this video was recorded long before Diddy was arrested and federally indicted on charges of extortion, sex trafficking and engaging in interstate transportation for prostitution, one might expect the timeliness of his reappearance to give Justin a little nervous That, along with the duo’s documented history of hanging out, could be reason enough for the “Hold Tight” singer to be concerned. But as we told you earlier, he doesn’t care about Diddy or his drama, instead spending time with his wife and almost two-month-old son.
