Bhopal: A 16-year-old girl allegedly died from suicide at his home in Ratibad locality on Friday morning after his family denied him permission to participate in a religious ritual.
Police said the deceased, Radhika Bundela16 years old, he lived in a farmhouse in the town of Chapri in Ratibad. He completed his studies till class 9 and stayed at home. His father, Raja Bundela, works on the same farm. On Friday morning he was having a “havaner” near his house. Radhika expressed her desire to participate in the ritual, but her relatives refused.
Angry and upset, she went back inside the house, tied a bow with her mother’s saree and hung herself in a shed-like structure. She was rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival. The police are currently investigating the case.
