‘It’s a tragedy’: Oleksandr Usyk’s team give stylish response to Tyson Fury miscarriage revelation

Oleksandr Usyk’s trainer Egis Klimas has put the rivalry aside to send Tyson Fury a classy message.

The experienced boxing manager has often been involved in heated exchanges with the Brit over the past two years as the two boxers have been pitted against each other.

This first came to a head in May when Usyk beat Fury to win the undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO world heavyweight titles.

The pair are now set for a rematch on December 21 and met at a press conference to promote it on Wednesday.

During this media event, Fury made a heartbreaking revelation to reporters as he explained that his wife Paris Fury suffered a miscarriage the day before the first bout.

“She lost (the baby) on the Friday of the fight, which was pretty sweet,” Fury explained.

“It’s not like a little miscarriage in the beginning, you have to physically give birth to a dead child, on your own, while your husband is in a foreign country.

“Going through it on your own is not good.

“I couldn’t be there for her, at that time, and that’s hard for me.

“I’ve been with the woman longer than I wasn’t with her, so it’s hard not being able to be there with her.”

Fury continued: “When he said he couldn’t come, I knew there was a problem. He said he had high blood pressure.

“Turki Alalshikh offered us a private jet to avoid high blood pressure and said she could take the doctor with her.

“She said she couldn’t come. I asked her what was wrong and asked her to tell me, but she didn’t. So I found out.

“She never told me she lost the baby, but I knew.

“When I returned I got the inevitable confirmation that it was gone, but she had kept it to herself.”

Seeing these comments being reported, Klimas took to social media to post his thoughts.

“I’m sorry to hear about this tragedy, only hearing about it for the first time,” Klimas said.

“It’s a terrible feeling, I had the same situation with one of my fighters just two days before his fight.

“It’s really (a) big family tragedy! Sorry Tyson! I hope God gives you a few more in the near future.”
