Kamala Harris Tells Trump He Called US ‘Trash’

On Friday in Houston, Texas, Vice President Kamala Harris tore apart Donald Trump’s description of the United States, claiming that the country is “like a garbage can for the world.” I’ve never seen a former president hate this country the way Trump does before.

“We’re like trash, you know, this is the first time I’ve ever said that,” Trump said in Tempe, Arizona. “And every time they come and talk about what they’ve done to our country, I get angry. The first time I say trash, but you know what, it’s a very accurate description.”

Harris tore into Trump, calling his revelation “another example of how he really despises our country.”

“I also want to address the comment that Donald Trump made about America being the trash of the world, whatever he said, something along those lines,” the vice president said. “You know, it’s just another example of how he really despises our country.”

“This is somebody who is a former president of the United States who has a bully pulpit and uses it like that?” she continued. “Should I tell the rest of the world that the United States of America is somehow trash?”

“And I think again, the president of the United States should be someone who raises the bar and talks about the best of who we are and who invests in the best of who we are, not someone like Donald Trump who constantly degrades and degrades who. The American people are America deserves better,” Harris added.

Trump insulted Detroit while in Detroit. This is nothing new for the disaffected former president who supports Russia while blaming the current administration for the invasion of Ukraine. Last year, Trump said at a Turning Point Action conference, “Your country is being turned into a third-world hell, run by censors, perverts, criminals and thugs.” Trump’s shameful list of degrading America is long. As I said, this is nothing new.

We can take out the trash on November 5th.
