Xiaomi is gearing up to unveil its long-awaited Xiaomi 15 series at the end of October, and tech enthusiasts are excited. Set to showcase Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the launch is scheduled for October 29 at 19:00 local time. This new series promises to enhance the smartphone experience with a combination of cutting-edge technology and innovative features.

Initially, the Xiaomi 15 series will only be available in China, but there are plans for a global launch soon after. Adam Zeng, Senior Vice President of Xiaomi, has shared that the Xiaomi 15 will be the first smartphone worldwide with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, which is designed for exceptional performance and efficiency. It will also come equipped with Xiaomi’s HyperCore technology, which is expected to further enhance its capabilities.

One of the most prominent features of the Xiaomi 15 is its 6.36-inch AMOLED flat screen. With a vibrant 1.5K resolution and smooth 120Hz refresh rate, it promises to deliver stunning visuals, perfect for streaming and gaming. The camera setup is equally impressive, with a Leica-branded triple rear camera system that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. This combination aims to elevate photography, especially in low-light scenarios, highlighted by the slogan “see every light”.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 15 packs a robust 5,500mAh battery, which supports 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. This means you can quickly recharge and get back to using your device. The phone is also expected to be IP68 rated, making it dust and water resistant, perfect for everyday adventures. With options of up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, users can enjoy plenty of space for apps, photos and more.

Alongside the Xiaomi 15 series, Xiaomi will introduce the HyperOS 2.0 update, built on Android 15. This new operating system is set to offer various AI-based features that enhance the user experience and make interactions more intuitive
