Bombay High Court denies anticipatory bail to father of minor passenger

The Single Judge therefore concluded that the ingredients of the offenses were prima facie identified.

The Court also noted the possible obstruction in the investigation due to Singh’s absconding.

“There is substance in the contention raised by the Special Public Prosecutor that the applicant who remains absconding has created an impediment for the investigating authority to fully and effectively investigate the matter including the conspiracy angle and its components” . said the Court.

In view of the above, the Court proceeded to dismiss the allegation.

“The said offense under Section 467 of the IPC prescribes imprisonment for life and, therefore, the application deserves to be dismissed,“, the order said.
