Muskogee nurse pleads guilty to fraudulently obtaining hydrocodone

Catherine Victoria Rogers, 51, pleaded guilty to one count of obtaining a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery and deception, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The indictment alleged that on or about August 1, 2023, and through November 14, 2023, Rogers knowingly and intentionally obtained hydrocodone, a Schedule II controlled substance, by misrepresentation , fraud, forgery and deception. -United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma

According to investigators, Rogers was a nurse at the VA Medical Center in Muskogee. Without permission or authority, Rogers took approximately 132 hydrocodone pills from the medical center’s drug storage and distribution system.

A judge accepted the request and ordered a presentence investigation report.
