Bukayo Saka’s latest injury after being substituted in England

In the build-up to Greece’s opener against England on Thursday, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka appeared to be suffering from some sort of injury. The winger was quickly withdrawn for Noni Madueke, and he went straight down the tunnel.

Speaking to the media, England boss Lee Carsley was asked if Saka was withdrawn due to injury.

“Yes,” Carsley replied. “He’s being assessed. Obviously, in the build-up to the first goal, you could see he felt something in his leg.”

Early rumors on social media suggest that early indications are that Saka is fine, but he still needs a scan to confirm that assessment.

Even a minor hamstring injury could see the winger miss a couple of weeks of action.

Arsenal face Bournemouth next Saturday, October 19, and then Shakhtar Donetsk the following Tuesday, October 22. But the big game coming up is against Liverpool on October 27, just 16 days away.

Given Saka’s form this season, with 10 goals in 10 games for Arsenal, his availability against the league leaders could be vital.
