All BRICS states positively influence global stability — Putin – World

KAZAN, October 23. /TASS/. All BRICS member states positively influence global stability in deed and not in words, which is especially important now, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a small BRICS summit meeting.

“All our countries favor equality, good neighborly relations and mutual respect, approval of the noble ideals of friendship and harmony, community and prosperity, manifest responsibility for the future of the world in fact rather than in a word, they positively influence the state of affairs in global stability and security, contribute a lot to the solution of pressing regional problems,” he said.

This is the essence of the strategy of the BRICS line in the global arena, Putin stressed. Having said that, this line responds to the wishes and needs of the main part of the global community, the so-called global majority, he stressed. “This particular line is particularly relevant in today’s conditions when dramatic changes are taking place in the world,” the president said.

When the Russian president opened the summit, he noted that all those present are witnesses to the dynamic development of the BRICS, the strengthening of its authority and influence in global affairs. The member states have enormous political, economic, scientific, technical and human potential, he said, adding that “it is fair to say that the BRICS contains co-thinkers, sovereign countries representing various continents, development patterns, religions, civilizations and cultures authentic”.
