Another video has been released of what appears to be North Korean troops sent to Russia.

However, the US and NATO have yet to officially recognize North Korea’s shipment to Russia.

What is the reason for the caution of the West?

Reporter Kwon Young-hee reports.

This is a video clip believed to show the arrival of the North Korean military in Vladivostok, released by independent Russian media.

It is known as the 44980th Base Unit of the Russian 127th Power Rifle Division in the village of Sergeevka.

“A wonderful ally has arrived from North Korea and I hope the war will end,” says the videographer in the local language.

Soldiers believed to be North Korean soldiers are seen smoking or talking.

Ukrainian President Zelensky has repeatedly stated that the North Korean military will soon be ready to join the fighting in Ukraine.

(Volodymyr Zelensky / President of Ukraine: We have information that two North Korean brigades (6,000 men each) are training. This is a provocation.)

The South Korean government also announced the sending of North Korean troops to Russia, but the official US position is still “unconfirmed”.

(Pat Ryder/US Department of Defense Spokesman: We will continue to update as information becomes available, and of course we are in discussions with our allies around the world on this issue)

It is unusual considering that South Korean and US intelligence authorities have been closely monitoring the movements of the North Korean military using military satellites and sharing related information.

It can also be interpreted to mean that the Korean government’s announcement is exaggerated or that the evaluation of the information is different.

Some experts doubt that South Korea uses North Korean intelligence for domestic politics.

Some observers say he is delaying “official confirmation” because of the impact on the US presidential election.

From the perspective of the United States and NATO, there is a burden to take action in response to the formalization of North Korea’s participation in the war.

For this reason, it is possible to determine whether the North Korean army is directly involved in the battle or is only supporting the rear.

(Marc Rutter / Secretary General of NATO) It is a very important issue. I can’t confirm unless I can get the latest from Korea early next week.)

The Washington Post, citing a senior NATO official, said observers may have been deployed to deal with Russian-backed weapons, not special forces.
