Javier Bardem, 55, reveals the body of a man half his age in topless photos

Javier Bardem just proved that age is just a number, as he posed in a topless photo at the age of 55 with the torso of a 25-year-old.

The Skyfall actor, who is married to Penélope Cruz, was all smiles as he posed in a pair of cream lace-up pants bare-chested at the show and was photographed by his wife.

Other black and white photos showed the No Country for Old Men actor showering, swimming in the sea looking happy Larry and peering into the camera from behind big, old glasses while wearing a knitted jumper thick

When she wasn’t posing topless for a photo shoot with The Gentleman’s Journal, she was wearing several iterations of white T-shirts, peering out from under a tree in one and smiling widely at a table in another.

Alongside the snapshots, Javier talked about meeting and working with his wife Penelope in the accompanying interview.

They met when Javier was 22 and Penelope 17, and he recalled: ‘It was his first film; one of my first films. A great movie.

“We met at the dress rehearsal, where we looked at each other, and I guess something happened. Something that has no explanation and is beyond logic and reasoning.

“But, back in the day, we had different lives, different goals, purposes and goals.

“However, there was something there: an energy, a chemistry, a way of trusting each other as human beings. And that remained for so long, even though we hadn’t seen each other in many years nor speak.’

The Spanish actors reunited after their respective world fame and on the set of Woody Allen’s 2007 film Vicky Cristina Barcelona their relationship turned romantic.

The couple were surprised to find that the years-old sensation was still alive, but took comfort in the fact that they knew each other before all the “noise” of Hollywood stardom.

‘That’s an important foundation, to trust someone because you really know them and they really know you. You see me, I see you. This is important,” he said.

Javier and Penelope had two sons, Leo, 13, and Luna, 11, and he’s still learning about parenthood as he goes.

Speaking about the importance of childhood, Javier told the publication how we need to be “really sensitive” to our children to help them grow up in a healthy way.

He knows what kind of parent he doesn’t want to be: one who controls them and adds pressure to their lives, rather than letting them find their own way.
