Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones Star in Powerful ‘The Brutalist’ Trailer – Watch Here

“The Brutalist,” a star-studded drama about a war-torn architect, officially has a trailer.

Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, Joe Alwyn and more star together in the film which follows the story of an architect forced into a difficult situation, who moves to America in the years following World War II in Europe. “The Brutalist” hits theaters on December 20.

“Escaping post-war Europe, the visionary architect László Toth arrives in America to rebuild his life, his work and his marriage with his wife Erzsébet after being forced to separate during the war due to the change of borders and regimes,” reads a summary of the A24 film.

“On his own in a strange new country, László settles in Pennsylvania, where wealthy and prominent industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren recognizes his talent for building. But power and legacy come at a high cost,” continues the summary

The trailer juxtaposed emotional clips of Brody in mid-century America with stunning shots of architecture, a central theme of the film.

Brady Corbet and Mona Fastvold wrote the film which Corbet directed.

“A lot of what this movie feels like is because of how it was made with such attention to detail,” Brody said at the New York Film Festival in September. “It looks like a movie from another time, characters from another time, architecture that has survived from that era.”

Critics have widely praised the film, which was screened at festivals such as New York and Venice this year.
