Paris Texas packs the heat on “RökKOut”

Paris Texas has kept it pretty low-key this year. After presenting his impressive debut feature TO MY AIR as of July 2023, the dynamic rap duo hasn’t dropped a single solo studio cut.

Today, Paris Texas kicked off her surprise return to the scene, unveiling her first solo offering since TO MY AIR titled “RökKOut”.

Clocking in at just under four minutes, “RökKOut” is a lengthy, true-to-Paris Texas offering, steeped in the duo’s clever wordplay and relatable lyricism.

“Rock out in this b*tch / Rock out in this h*e / I was overseas / Sell out every show,” begins the chorus.

Paris Texas sat down with Hypebeast for Hypebeast Magazine Issue 32: The Fever Issue, and shared more about their art and approach.

“You could say the craziest things in life, but because a lot of experiences or emotions are shared, people can still relate. Bringing those feelings to your music will resonate more than being the most creative lyricist with wordplay,” Felix said at the time, while Louie Pastel added, “I think (our music) would be different if it had more a story based on history. it’s fine, but I’ve chosen to bring my artist persona closer to who I am in real life.”
