Kristin Cavallari spoke after her ex-husband, Jay Cutlerwas arrested for driving under the influence.

The Laguna Beach The 37-year-old alum addressed the incident at the start of the Tuesday, Oct. 22, episode of his “Let’s Be Honest” podcast.

“Very quickly, just before we get into the episode, I wanted to jump in here and let you know that this episode was taped right before a very public incident happened last week with my ex-husband,” Cavallari explained. “Keep that in mind as you listen.”

The episode, titled “Breaking Up Sucks,” is about “getting over” breakups and the “hardest and scariest” parts of breaking up.

Cavallari noted that he will not offer any further statements about Cutler’s arrest beyond what he said at the top of the episode.

“I’m not going to comment on what happened,” he told listeners. “Of course, I wish Jay nothing but the best and hope he gets the help he needs. But that’s all I’ll say publicly about it.”

Cutler, 41, was arrested on Thursday, October 17, after he allegedly rear-ended another vehicle in Franklin, Tennessee. He was booked for a DUI at the Williamson County Jail in Nashville, according to online records seen by TMZ. The former NFL star posted bond several hours later and was released. Cutler was also charged with failure to exercise due care, violation of the implied consent law and possession of a handgun while under the influence.

According to legal documents obtained by Us WeeklyCutler allegedly tried to flee the scene and offered the other driver $2,000 not to implicate authorities. The police, however, arrived at the scene a few minutes later. When the arresting officer spoke to Cutler, he noticed that the former reality star was “wobbly, swaying and heavy-footed as he walked,” while his eyes were also “bloodshot, glazed, red/pink, watery and dilated”.

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler are divorced, but that doesn’t mean she regrets her marriage. When the officer asked Cutler if he had consumed any alcoholic beverages, Cutler initially replied, “None.” After the officer noticed the odor of alcohol, he asked Cutler the same question a second time, and Cutler replied, “A little bit.”

Cutler refused a field sobriety test, according to the documents, and was taken to a hospital where a blood sample was obtained. Cutler has not publicly commented on the incident.

Cavallari and Cutler were married from 2013 to 2022. They have sons Camden, 12, and Jaxson, 10, and daughter Saylor, 8.
